I like the campgrounds at state parks. They are usually economical and have good scenery. However, some states will charge you for entering the park everyday, in addition to your camping fee (like Wisconsin!) I’ve also stayed at Jellystone Park campground, as well as KOA. My favorite campground chain is KOA. They have nice showers, laundry nearby, and a few activities, so it’s great if you’re staying for a few days. They also have cabins, which are cheaper than a hotel room and are nice when it rains.
