Coleman Focuses on Campers Like CHI Hair Dryers Focus on Hair

Today, Colman remains a leader in camping supplies. If you need camping gear such as tents, sleeping bags, coolers, heaters, insect protection, and inflatable kayaks, Coleman has them, and much, much more. Throughout the years, Coleman has become a symbol for quality camping gear at affordable prices. And Coleman continues to remain a leader in all types of camping gear.

But before you use your farouk chi rocket hair dryer and gather your Coleman products for your next camping trip, take some time to meet the man who made it all possible: W.C. Coleman.

Seeing the light
In 1900, William Coffin Coleman was a young man who needed money to pay for his final year at law school. So he started selling lamps in Oklahoma, to fund his schooling. Coleman’s vision was so poor that classmates had to read out loud to him. But then one day Coleman saw the light…literally! He spotted a lantern in the window of an Alabama drugstore, which was bright enough for Coleman to later read even the tiniest print! Gasoline, rather than oil from coal, was used to power these lanterns. They also contained something called mantles, rather than wicks. This lantern would be the inspiration for today’s Coleman lanterns that light up a camper’s world.

Where there’s a will
Coleman was thrilled by the brilliant lanterns, as chi hair dryers thrill those needing CHI Hair Dryers
. So Coleman used his savings to buy stocks of the lanterns, and became a salesman. However, a lightning salesman had recently hit the area where Coleman was trying to sell the lantern. However, Coleman never gave up, and began selling a lighting service, instead of lanterns. He became quite successful.

In 1901, W.C. Coleman then bought the patents and inventory for the Efficient Lamp. He improved upon it, and then in 1914, Coleman created a Coleman lantern that was as powerful as 300 candles and as effective as an efficient farouk chi rocket hair dryer is on wet hair. This lantern became popular in rural areas, including campsites, and the U.S. government distributed 70,000 pieces during World War I.

After the war ended, the car allowed people to travel more. They would often enjoy camping right along the side of a road. So in 1923, Coleman created a camping stove that folded up. Within time, Coleman became the leader in the entire market.

Not just lanterns and stoves
After electricity began lighting rural areas through America, Coleman began to provide a wider range of products, like the range of hair products at my-hair-tools.com. Coleman’s product line included its line oil heaters. Today, camping heaters continue to keep campers warm and cozy. Coleman then successfully produced a portable stove for U.S. soldiers and eventually manufactured a million units!

Coleman means camping
After World War 2, Coleman began focusing on products for camping, like practical chi hair dryers focus on your hair. He created a cooler made of galvanized steel, and later added an innovative plastic liner to it. These coolers would eventually evolve into today’s Coleman coolers. Within time, Coleman added camping sleeping bags and camping tents to his arsenal of camping gear. Later, Coleman began to produce products such as lanterns, sleeping bags, stoves and tents, which were lighter and sturdier at the same time.

For over a century, Coleman has had a long history of adapting to meet the needs and wants of the camper. Before you leave for your next camping trip, visit My-Hair-tools.com for all your hair care needs, and think about W.C. Coleman as you fill up your vehicle and backpack with Coleman camping supplies. Remember the man who was inspired by a single lantern, to use his ingenuity and dedication to light up the whole camping world!
